Space, Division & Function
What are your concerns in regard to workstation proximity in your various workspaces?
How do you feel your spaces can be improved based on ‘the new normal’ that has been implemented with COVID-19?
Do you foresee any enrollment/employment changes due to the new comfort levels that may have been or has been created with this epidemic? More working from home, more online classes..?
Will you use state guidelines (50% of workforce allowed back in? etc…)
With the comfort that has been created around the idea of remote working, do you currently have a change management plan that is or is not working? If so, what does that plan currently consist of? How will you track productivity?
Do you foresee your company phasing employees/faculty/students upon returning or creating alternate schedules/classes to allow smaller groups to use the space at different times? (A/B/C Schedules)
Do you think the open concept that has been introduced into the workplace and higher ed environments will soon change and become more individualized?
Will retro-fitting or modifying your existing furniture and spaces make more sense to incorporate any necessary updates or do you see spaces being completely remodeled for the new norm?
Materials, Cleanability & Comfort
Do you foresee any need for immediate changes or updates to your furniture based on what may become more commonplace as we move forward (antimicrobial fabrics, more poly/steel materials, etc.)?
How do you see third spaces (lounging areas) and reception spaces transforming in the way collaboration is currently influenced?
Do you see a benefit and/or need for ‘cleaning stations’ to become a standard implementation for furniture layouts, especially in lobbies and lecture areas?
Will daylighting play a factor in how you foresee spaces being reconfigured moving forward?
Do you foresee the purchase of more plant life to incorporate biophilia into your environments and influence better air quality?
