Canter not only cares about the customer experience, we highly value being involved in the design community. One of our Sales Representatives, Madi Butterfield, demonstrates this through her involvement with IIDA’s (International Interior Design Association) Intermountain Chapter in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is now in her second term of her position as the Intermountain Chapter’s Vice President of Advocacy and has had previous experience on their inaugural board.
It was through Madi that one of our Designers, Samantha Wilson, and one of our Project Managers, Amber Lee, were able to attend the IIDA Intermountain Chapter 2016 Fashion Remix Event at Salt Lake City’s Rail Event Center on October 14th. The event included 16 Interior/Architectural Design Firms and Student’s paired with vendors to create unique ensembles that were modeled and showcased on the runway – all of which were in competition for a variety of awards. To delve in a bit deeper, the interior/architectural design firms and students had to create garments solely made of materials from the vendor that they were paired with. See below for some of the finished products and winners.
Aside from being a wonderful way to network and be more involved in the design community, the event ended up being an opportunity for our employees to build their relationships with one another. A portion of the proceeds made at the event benefitted the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To learn more about Cystic Fibrosis, click here. I’d say it was a sure success and Canter plans on attending the event in future years. Thanks to Madi for all of your contribution to the event and for exposing the Colorado Canter team to your city!
